Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated by the Northbound DayZ Organic RP community. The site is available at dayzorganicrp.com and serves as the public-facing information hub for our DayZ server.

For questions regarding this policy, please contact us via our Discord server: discord.gg/ucUNrWCNJs

2. What data we collect

This website does not use tracking scripts, advertising networks, or analytics services. Apart from the optional user accounts described in section 6, we do not collect or store any personal data through the website itself.

The following data may be processed automatically by our hosting provider when you access this site:

  • Your IP address (anonymised after access)
  • Date and time of access
  • Browser type and operating system
  • The page requested

This data is standard server log data, is not linked to individual users, and is used solely for technical operation and security purposes.

3. Cookies

This website does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. If you log in to an optional user account (see "User accounts" below), one technically necessary session cookie is set to keep you logged in; it is deleted when the session ends.

4. Third-party services

This site embeds or links to the following external services. When you interact with them, their own privacy policies apply:

5. Play Statistics

The Play Statistics page displays in-game data (player names, playtime, and gameplay metrics) sourced from our game server. This data is voluntarily generated by players who join our DayZ server. No real-name or contact information is displayed.

6. User accounts

You can optionally create a free user account to take part in our community forum and screenshot gallery. If you register an account, we store the following data on our own server:

  • Your chosen username (publicly visible)
  • Your email address (never shown publicly; used only for account recovery)
  • A cryptographic hash of your password (we never store your password itself)
  • The date your account was created and the time of your last login
  • Short-lived, IP-based rate-limit records used to protect the login and registration forms from abuse; these are kept for no longer than 24 hours

Logged-in sessions use a single technically necessary session cookie. Forum posts and uploaded screenshots you publish are visible to all visitors together with your username. You can delete your own posts and screenshots at any time.

You can delete your account yourself at any time via your account settings, or ask us to delete it by contacting us on Discord. Deleting your account removes your personal data and your uploaded screenshots; your forum posts are replaced with a "[deleted]" marker.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Apart from the optional user accounts described above, we do not collect personal data through this website. For any questions, contact us via Discord.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
